Journey to Empowerment TLP’s primary strategy is to provide a practical and obtainable tactic to restoring self-appreciation. Our services are primarily intensive, effective and based on the specific needs of the individual. Regardless of whether they are homeless, a runaway, a repeat offender, part of the LGBTQ community, or have aged out of foster care, these services incorporate a strategic method to stabilize and reunify a healthy and productive individual with society.

Journey To Empowerment Transitional Living Program (JTE TLP) has developed a system consisting of four stages that use plants as a metamorphosis for human life, allowing us to get to the root of the pain/problem and help the disenfranchised to find the passion to thrive and succeed.

Stage #1 PRUNING
We begin by pruning the strongholds in the participant’s life that keep them from excelling and allow them to dream again. This stage dispenses counseling coupled with coping skills, anger management, and other personal development skill sets.

Stage #2 ENRICHING
We then enrich the soil by training the participant’s in both life skills and social skills, allowing them to hope again. During this stage the participants will engage in budgeting courses, hygiene courses, etiquette courses, computer training and more.

Stage #3 NURTURING
We then begin nurturing our participants with marketing skills, strategic planning and business management while educating them on the process of buying and maintaining a home and other financial endeavors, using our resources to develop successful entrepreneurs and allow them to live again.

Stage #4 REPRODUCTIVE
In this final stage, the participants continue to grow by allowing those who have graduated from the program to return and complete a one-year mentoring program to inspire new participants. This stage allows the graduates the opportunity to give back and fill some sense of pride in their successes by showing new participants that as long as you believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams, it can be done.
